Seen through the kaleidoscopic lens of a global nomad by Susan Alice Lobo at Malaka Spice

Susan is an Army BRAT (Born Raised And Transferred). Born in Shillong, she traversed the length and breadth of India with her family during her early years. She is a Zoology major & qualified teacher from Cambridge University. Susan’s penchant for travel was kept alive by joining PanAm in its heyday, and this opportunity was further extended across international borders as a corporate wife, living in places as diverse as Japan, China, and the US. Her Persona has progressed from an efficient airline trainer to a more empathetic mentor. She has taught Art, Math & Science to under privileged children in America & English to slum kids in Delhi.

She is a self taught artist working in Aqueous media from Water colors, Inks to Acrylics. She defines her “Id” ~ as Artist, Poet, Traveler & Dreamer… Susan has the wonderful ability to see images in both art and form, her artistic impressions evolving into poetry and vice-versa. Just as she believes in education for all, she believes in affordable art.

These are her collective interpretations of people she has met on the streets, images she has seen, people’s photographs she has been influenced by, and the surroundings she has been fortunate to explore.
